CHANGELOG

This page just keeps track of changes to previously published articles or new published articles. Dates are formatted as DD/MM/YYYY

17/07/2026:

Graphical overhaul:

  • Changed the theme to a custom version of mono.
  • Added traced vector art to all articles, it was a massive PITA to do but at least I only have to do it once, I intend to use similar vector art for articles going forward as I think it does add a lot of personality to the website.
  • Added favicon.

Changes to articles:

  • Added donation links to all articles.
  • Monero P2Pool mining: Added info on how to setup a TOR node, added an addendum regarding the use of mechanical hard drives. Added an addendum to run the Xmrig CUDA plugin on Linux, I literally couldn't find an example of someone on Linux doing this and the instructions by the Xmrig team are ambiguous as hell but it does still work. Fixed some pointers to get better hashrates and get more shares.
  • Pascal GPU AI: Added instructions to run it on a Virtual Machine.
  • Coral TPU: Added a photo of the coral TPU units I own.

Looking back some of the articles were rushed (The monero one being a prime example) But I was trying to push the website out the door as I was supposed to have an interview that week, I'll review the articles later when I have time.

Security/Fixes:

  • I decided to nuke the whole server, my hosting went into deep maintenence last week (whether it was due to the KVM vulnerability or war I have no idea) and something appears to have broken as I can no longer enable or disable services with systemd as it tries to make calls to SysVinit which is the system that actually handles all the services now, somehow (What?). I have no idea how I managed to upload the website with the backroom broken like this but in any case I have nuked the whole thing and started from 0.
  • Added some basic security to deter bots.
  • Edited the robots file to appear on search engines.

99% of the traffic I got since launching the site were malicious bots scanning ports and people checking out the website to squat the domain so I'm gonna shift focus to other endeavours and only check the website once a month as I originally intended.

Fixed bugs:

  • Fixed a bug where all articles had the date of the second article made for some weird reason by editing the dates of all articles manually.
  • Fixed the robots file, the website should pop up on Google every now and then.

29/06/2026 Initial launch
