Who am I and where I hail from

Hello there.

I'm a normal guy of undisclosed age that was born and has lived his whole life in Mexico. I've used dozens of handles online and have been part of just about every community you can think of, I like to reinvent myself every few years and this just happens to be my latest iteration. The reason for this latest iteration is due to Mexican law where on July 1st the Mexican government compiled a massive database with all cellphones in their countries and their owners in order to weed out and 'disappear' dissidents of the state and its' policies, prompting me to nuke all social media and start building my online identity from zero again (If you do a reverse lookup you may notice I was squatting on this domain for over 2 years as proof).

Professionally, I've been involved in every job one can imagine regarding computers, from cleaning computers to auditing ISO ISMS. I've worked for small companies to big ones in both the public sector and the private sector. 

Personally I'm an enthusiast for hardware and software, I like tinkering with machines, fixing them and I absolutely love virtualisation and self-hosting, my dream job is placing a small consulting firm and installing servers for small companies so they drop their reliance on big proprietary cloud systems.

I've been a Linux user for roughly 16 years (Started around 2010 when Crunchbang was still a thing) and have barely if ever looked back, I even got to contribute to a few open source projects, mostly in the form of localisation and maintaining a package here and there. However, I stopped contributing and ghosted quite a few people in 2018 when Linus Torvalds swore his pledge of allegiance to the Contributor Covenant, I've continued to use open source software but I don't contribute anything these days and I probably never will again.

What is this website

Originally it was supposed to be a way to explain my skills to recruiters, however I'm making it into a cook-book to avoid having to look up some configs and serve as my personal blog. I'm quite frankly tired of having to look up the info I need and after things like RedHat privated dozens, if not hundreds, of blogs and articles behind a paywall, free hosting websites like GitHub incorporating policies for banning individuals on the behalf of censors and companies and search engines replacing actual answers with AI responses that are often wrong, I've decided to make a website of my own.

I manage everything related to the site from the domain to the front-end in a minimalist environment, I use Publii, a headless CMS, that I just upload manually for convenience and security purposes.

This site is still under construction and I'll likely change a few graphical aspects of it when I have the time. I'll try and update it once monthly (If anything else just to check the site is running smoothly and my provider in Ukraine still exists).

I may also incorporate personal articles or videos at some point after I'm satisfied with the articles on the website (Which will probably take a while if you take a look at my TODO/Upcoming). In addition while the articles showcased currently as of July 2026, I may start posting more complex articles now that the website has fulfilled its' original purpose.

My stance on Crypto-Currency/DeFi

At the time of writing I believe crypto is heavily misused and needlessly demonised. Everyone seems to use crypto as stocks but I believe the real power of it lies in the decentralised nature of it.

Picture this: A world where an employer or someone else sends you money using their phone and then you can use that money to go to the nearest convenience store or gas station and use that money to buy yourself a sandwich. Effectively bypassing banking and government oversight in the entire transaction.

That's where I believe the true power of Crypto is, not in the value of the tokens themselves but rather in the fact that you don't have to worry about the government or the banks freezing your bank accounts or making unsolicited moves or calls with your money. It's better than fiat (Cash) as you don't have to walk to an ATM to take the money out with a card that the bank controls, you can manage your own money the way you like, you can transfer money between your wallets so you don't carry around your whole savings with you (Unlike a debit card) and you can pay wirelessly by just using two phones.

My stance on AI

Unlike most people these days I don't oppose the use of AI. What I do oppose is AI technology being available for use only to The Big 6™ (National Amusements, Disney, TimeWarner, Comcast,News Corp, Sony), FAGMAN (Facebook, Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia) and the ESA  (Nintendo, EA, Ubistoft, Take 2, Capcom, among others), which is what I believe these massive conglomerates are coordinating in order to do.

I believe the use of AI should be free and open to everyone and artists should feel free to integrate the technologies into their artwork, not everyone exceeds at everything and not everyone has the money to pay for everything, therefore I see nothing wrong with a character artist using AI generated backdrops or with a coder using AI to translate his documentation. In my ideal scenario someone creative should be able to make an entire animated film from his bedroom without having the entire knowledge on how to do so in a few months and I believe it's this future that the big media conglomerates want to prevent from materialising as otherwise their propaganda machine collapses. 

Regardless, it is what it is, people will keep demanding legislation and regulation and the government backed up by the aforementioned conglomerates will gleefully continue to comply with the demands of the public, making the technology harder to use for the the average Joe while those that control all of the copyright and distribution media in the world profit from it. It frustrates me but there's nothing I can do about it.

Most of my creative work doesn't integrate AI in order to comply with the rules of websites that require no AI tech involved.

My religious believes (Or lack-thereof)

I was raised as a catholic but I've long since abandoned that faith. I was an atheist for the longest time but after the 2022 Nobel in Physics I'm a believer of simulation theory (Depressingly so). I don't believe there's any life after death and once you kick it all that awaits you is either the recycling bin or worse, garbage collection.

My (Other) Controversial Opinions

I'm not a huge fan of political correctness in general and certainly not a fan of institutionalised DEI policies such as Rainbow Capitalism™.

While I don't oppose the idea, I'm not a huge fan of current copyright legislation and I heavily dislike Disney and Nintendo for the damage they've done towards the creative progress of mankind via legislation, law-fare and patent abuse. In my ideal world works would expire after 25 years or the author's death as that would allow for creatives to publish their words without nonsense such as having to worry about coincidentally plagiarising the work of another author because the amount of colours and sounds the human mind finds pleasing is rather limited. The current copyright legislation even erodes public domain, for instance Elejandria only has 14 books by Mexican authors under public domain in Mexico, isn't that absurd?
